Skip buffer effects works fine in Crisis Core and a few other games for me - which games does it not work in for you?

That said, like anything that skips doing things the real PSP does do, it won't work in all games. I'm pretty sure God of War, GTA, and various other popular games require buffered rendering to see the game.

Frameskipping can also cause weird and unexpected issues when skipping buffers, so might try turning that off or changing it to a different value.
