If anything is grayed out it means one of the following:
- does not work at all with other settings currently used(like x1 render res, software mode or skipping buffer effects disable many graphic settings),
- require different options to be selected first(ie I/O on thread required for I/O timing methods),
- was disabled due to dangerous settings/hacks or cheats used(compatibility reports since nobody cares about reports with game breaking hacks),
- can only be changed before emulation is started(like software rendering) - note that if you created per-game settings, you can still access them without launching the game by holding game icon/right clicking it or pressing triangle while having it highlighted.

None of that requires "fix" as it's completely intentional.
