Unable to install PPSSP (OSX)

I am running an early 2008 macbook 4,1 on OS X 10.6.8.

I'm currently trying to install the OS X build of PPSSPP, and I'm running into some trouble.

I successfully installed homebrew, but I can't install sdl2, as it requires 10.7 to build v2.0.3 (revealed on a homebrew issue I made here: h ttp://is.gd/NO2KzE)
As a workaround, I manually installed sdl2 v2.0.1 (this build: h ttp://hg.libsdl.org/SDL/file/b9663c77f5c9), which is apparently compatible with 10.6.8 (according to this libsdl thread: h ttp://is.gd/Qf0UR4)
Yet, when I attempt to boot up PPSSPPSDL, I get the following crash report: h ttp://pastebin.com/2Y3bPTur

However, that said I don't exactly have to run the OS X build. Up until now, I've been running the windows build using crossover...
