RE: Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
Made an account just post the following.
V0.9.9.1. does in fact fix the fading in and out glitch, but I've come across another glitch/issue that seems closely tied. While Sting Chameleon does indeed fade in and out, it causes crippling slowdown at the start of the boss battle and every time Sting Chameleon transitions from his ceiling debris attack into his fade out to start his Chameleon Sting 3 wave volley. I turn on FPS Counter and the game is running around 64-77% speed. Turning on Hardware Transform seems to up it to 79-85% speed. Turning Vertex Cache on turns it up to 89-96% at it's worst. The game quickly goes back to 100% mark during the fight when crossfading is not on display with all variations of game settings. I switched to non-buffered rendering, and the slowdown was all gone but, like a movie monster unwilling to die, the black box was back. Attached is a screenshot of it. With Buffered Rendering, Hardware Transform, and Vertex Cache Boomerang Kuwanger runs just fine with little speed drops of 1-2% when the fading effects come into play. With Non-buffered rendering, only a small rectangular black box is present right behind him when he performs his boost towards you. This occurs with both Hardware Transform on or off. Vertex Cache seems to do nothing here. During all of this testing the other settings I can think that are relevant are: VSYNC - OFF <---this only causes problems when turned on in my case Rendering Resolution - 2x Frameskipping - OFF Texture Filtering - Auto Texture Scaling - OFF |
