Gamepad being picked up while paused

Right, so i checked "pause while not focused" option, and it does reduce CPU load to 0%, but while the keyboard presses are not being picked up by PPSSPP - gamepad presses are. So i put savestate\loadstate on left and right gamepad triggers on my 360 controller, and i was playing another game with PPSSPP minimized, then maximized PPSSPP window only to find it loaded my savestate from long ago, AND simulated actions from presses of other buttons, jumping through some of the game's dialogue.
