Just tested it, I get stable 30 fps in town, so I presume it will work the same on the battlefield. Default emulator settings.

For your computer which has adequate specifications for ppsspp, it might not be that demanding at default settings. But a lot of people nowadays still have pretty crappy pc's (Slow as heck CPU or those who don't have dedicated GPU's).

As I can see, a lot of users here play ppsspp on their laptops and most of those laptops struggle with emulation (especially those who have Intel Atom CPU's).

Try setting the rendering resolution to more than the default settings. You can also upscale textures and apply a myriad of post processing effects.
