Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable

Not sure where I'm supposed to post this, sorry if it's in the wrong place. Playing as MC I can play up to June without and crashing or hanging. However, as FeMC I can't climb 3 floors in Tartarus without the application crashing. And it's not just in Tartarus, its more like i can play for 30 minutes without the crash. I'm on 0.9.9.1b (the one currently on the play store) on a SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 (SGS4 AT&T 16gb). Is there a way to prevent this crash? I use the default settings, because I feel like the crash doesn't have much to do with audio or graphics. But I'm probably very, very wrong, as I am new to emulation. I do use the cheats EXP multiplier and always great status if that could also be the cause.
