Black screen when loading game

Hi I'm using an Android tablet, ppsspp 0.9.8 version. I was playing Tokimeki Memorial 3rd Story. It worked fine before. Everything loaded perfectly, but now each time I try to start a new game, right after I have made the room selection and everything else, instead of the intro of the game, I get a black screen. The buttons won't respond, and i have reinstalled the apk with different versions and still the same problem. Does this have to do with my Android version? It's a 4.0.4
