how to use left mouse control !

hi guys
i have problem with the control some games need to use mouse so i need to use the right button of the mouse and it work but when i tried to edit the control to use the left button of the mouse i clicked the left button but the control didnt change to left mouse button ! can any one tell me how can i make the left button of mouse in the control to use it in the game ?
