Maybe try restarting with pad unplugged and plug it back as xinput, then don't use hardware switch at all.

Xinput is superior anyway, the only reason I'm still using the switch, is because it allows me to swap between 2 different configs in ppsspp quickly, but I'm on win 7 x64, so it might be less problematic. Also the trick is somewhat obsolete anyway since you could use per-game ini files via command line options, I'm just kind of lazy since all I need is 2 different configs for the right analog as the rest is always best as it is.
