1. Since it pauses as if you chose Emulation -> Pause, I would guess it'd be resuming just before you got hit, so you'd likely be taking damage immediately after restoring the window. You'd probably be disconnected from the others if it stayed minimised for too long, of course (depends on how tolerant the game is on allowing for "dropped packets" (that's probably how your friends' games would see you while minimised, standing there doing nothing, like in MMORPGs or other online games, you'll see somebody who disconnected just standing there, or running in the same direction they were previously, since the server assumes they're still doing the same thing)).

2. No, unfortunately, it's forced on all platforms, with no way to turn it off. I opened a pull request almost a month ago to allow it to be disabled, but we're still deliberating over it.

3. It's not an error or a typo, it was added on purpose to stop Intel GPUs from crashing when minimising the window. v0.9.8-1509-gc0e6f26 is the last build before it was added by xsacha.
