As LunaMoo has said, this is absolutely normal because this is how it works on a real PSP
In fact, small monsters are not really "shared" between players.
Indeed, here is a simple situation : let's say that player-A kills all the small monsters of area 1 and that player-B is waiting in area 2. When player-B will join player-A in area 1, he will see some new small monsters on his screen while player-A will not.
To conclude, each player get his own small monsters
