Don't exaggerate, quoted from the project readme:

At this time, it only emulates a very small subset of 3DS hardware, and therefore is only useful for booting/debugging very simple homebrew demos.

You made it sounds as if an finished project jumped out of nowhere which would mean a 100% fake, when it's actually a first proper start in the direction of emulating that console, just like the ps3 debugger few years ago.
At least people will stop bugging Henrik to make a 3DS emu now. ;o
