Whether if you can make friends or not here, its not up to you to decide. If you dont want make any friend, then don't. Let the others do what the hell they want. It doesn't affect the purpose of the forum one way or another.

but if all of user here didn't make friends here... we wont get hundred or thousand of threads and posts here... probably even this forum will never exist or left empty. Even we won't be able to here good suggestion from others that might be useful in the future.
