PSP to PSX is obviously not possible, the PSP is a LOT more powerful.

PSX to PSP only works on the real PSP because there's a full PSX emulator in the PSP OS. This emulator does unfortunately not run in PPSSPP for various reasons so there's not much hope to run PSX games in PPSSPP, unless we grab and include a whole PSX emulator like PCSX or something.
