If you just play the story,it will take a lot less time but when I play a game I like,I spend as much as possible time on things that are not related to the story.
Currently I'm right before starting chapter 7 and the playtime is ~80 hours

The areas are unlocked once you reach certain level.No one is stopping you to play against higher level enemys to get better items sooner...it's just hard.

I just cleared mission with LV 110+ enemys just to get certain weapon and the mission before with LV 120+ enemys to get another...I can't wait reaching LV 120 to be the same level.
