About #2, what platform are you running the game on? Windows? If so, what GPU do you have, and what revision of the emu are you using? For me, in 9.1-15, on my NVidia 670, I have no such issue:

   
4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux
