if MK is so cpu demanding then why my crappy A8 1ghz cpu (no overclock) can play it full speed with frameskip - 2 (at 1 it stutters), although actually I'm getting max 50fps/60speed, perhaps 50fps is locked in the game, how much fps do you get?

locking cpu speed to 40 gives 30fps/60speed (no frameskip), so this helps slow paced games that use max 20-30fps, but not fightings that are fast paced and need 50-60fps.

The fact that you have even switch on frameskip to get full speed means it's quite demanding lol.

Try playing it without frameskip and see what happens.
