RE: Just curious,is there is any point of allowing multiple instances?
2 quick reasons I can think of, as a tester:-
1. For quick and easy debugging of games for developers and testers. Allows devs and testers to open up the same game on older and newer revisions simultaneously for quick problem reproduction and bisecting without having to open and close that one instance of PPSSPP over and over again. Lets you have side by side comparisons to ascertain the responsible revision when it comes to visual anomalies. 2. Also, so that you can do this on your computer:- Gotta look at the bigger picture, mate PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |
