2 quick reasons I can think of, as a tester:-

1. For quick and easy debugging of games for developers and testers.

Allows devs and testers to open up the same game on older and newer revisions simultaneously for quick problem reproduction and bisecting without having to open and close that one instance of PPSSPP over and over again.

Lets you have side by side comparisons to ascertain the responsible revision when it comes to visual anomalies.

2. Also, so that you can do this on your computer:-
