That's very strange and very interesting. Here's a question: if you have display raw framebuffer OFF, and while the video is playing but not visible you either resize your window or savestate, does it start showing?

Doing either of those things resets FBOs (which is not a fast thing to do, although it's also done naturally when we detect it needs to be.)
