Project Shield and PPSSPP. Anyone excited about it?

I was interested in the project shield but the on thing that kills it for me is the terrible d-pad. It has the same d-pad as the xbox 360 controller which is essentially a third analog stick made to look like a d-pad. This is terrible for playing any kind of classic or platforming games.

The xperia plays specs might be a bit old now but it still emulates many consoles fine, its small, has great battery life and has a proper d-pad. I will be sticking with it for a while longer.
