Compatibility: Designed for the European version of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3 (ULES01183). Other regions have not been tested. The game itself is not included.

I'm excited to share my HD Card Texture Pack for Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3. This project brings high-resolution card artwork to the game, offering both Anime and TCG versions, including Tokens in both versions. The TCG pack also preserves the game's original card rarities, with the inclusion of a custom style for Super Rares, which in the base game did not have any distinguishing features.

One of the biggest additions is a new HD card-rendering cheat I developed specifically for this project. It allows the game's top-left card display to dynamically show the actual card being viewed in HD, matching the selected Anime or TCG artwork. The cheat also extends these improvements to card activations and other large-card displays, bringing a level of visual consistency that, to my knowledge, wasn't previously available in Tag Force texture packs.

Features & Custom Cheats

HD Card Rendering Cheat (Important!)

One of the main highlights of this release is a custom cheat I developed that enables dynamic HD card rendering in areas previously limited by the game's original rendering system.

Most notably, the top-left card preview now displays the actual card being viewed in HD, matching whichever texture version you're using (Anime or TCG). This also extends to card activations and other large-card displays.

To use it:
Extract the included "[IMPORTANT] (Cheat.db).zip" and place "cheat.db" in PPSSPP's "memstick/PSP/Cheats" folder. Enable cheats in PPSSPP's settings, then select "Import from cheat.db" in the game's Cheats menu.

Enable "[RENDER] HD Large Cards + Card Back" and keep it enabled while playing to take full advantage of the texture pack.

Bonus Custom Cheats

The included cheat.db also contains three additional cheats I created for Tag Force 3:

- Partner Deck Editing: Allows the removal of Favorite cards when editing partner decks, while keeping Destiny Draw editable.
- Unlock All NPC Recipes: Unlocks NPC deck recipes for use in Free Duel.
- Unlock Angry Alexis & Angry Bastion: Unlocks these characters for Free Duel.

The two unlock cheats require only a one-time activation per save file.

For detailed instructions on all four cheats, refer to the included "Cheat.db Reference Key.txt".

Download & Installation

Download (Google Drive - 9.56 GB):

I decided to host the pack on Drive to avoid the daily download limits in places like MEGA. However, if anyone encounters any issues downloading from Drive, feel free to reach out.

Installation:
1. Extract the archive and place the "ULES01183" folder inside "PPSSPP/memstick/PSP/TEXTURES".
2. Enable "Replace textures" in PPSSPP's settings, including any game-specific configuration.
3. Enable "[RENDER] HD Large Cards + Card Back" using the included cheat.db for the full HD experience.

The Anime version is enabled by default. To switch to TCG, use the optional "Select_TCG.vbs" script (included in the optional ZIP), or manually copy the TCG "textures.ini" from the "~Packs (ini)" folder into the main "ULES01183" folder, replacing the existing file.

Additional instructions are included in "Instructions.txt".

Closing Remarks & Future Plans

This is actually my first-ever texture pack, and I've put a lot of time and effort into making it something I'm proud of. But I also still have plenty of ideas and goals for the future!

My long-term goal is to create my own comprehensive, polished HD card texture packs for every Tag Force game, from 1 through 6. I'd also love to eventually expand beyond the cards and give TF3 a complete HD overhaul, covering every major texture in the game, and perhaps one day doing the same for the rest of the series.

I'm also personally working on restoring every piece of anime-original card artwork that has never received an official standalone release, with the plan of using them in future texture packs as an "Anime Artwork" Pack, both in Anime style and TCG style.

A few other projects I have in mind or am currently working on include:

- Bling Out Texture Pack: A shiny alternative pack featuring card rarities such as Gold Rare, Platinum Rare, Shatterfoil, and more.
- TF Essentials Tool: A toolkit I'm developing with features such as live Alt Art swapping, allowing players to choose from a much wider selection of alternate artworks, expanding the options beyond the four normally available in-game.

Some of these projects are still a long way off. There's also a huge chance I get too caught up in the new Tag Force Remake, which delays these projects even more. Even so, I am determined to see them all accomplished eventually, so stay tuned.

Thank you for checking out my first release. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to share any feedback, suggestions, or issues you encounter.

Enjoy!
