Sharing SAVEDATA between PC and PSP

Hi. I'm new to the app and the forum. I'm loving the app and I'm revisiting some old games. I would appreciate if you guys could help me with this issue. I apologize if this has been posted before.

I've copied the SAVEDATA files from a memory stick into the same folder on my PC. I could play the game from where I left off and made quite a lot of progress, saving it each time.

I then copied the SAVEDATA files from the PC into the memory stick and inserted into the PSP. Unfortunately the data is detected as corrupted.

Isn't it possible to use the same SAVEDATA files between devices? What have I done wrong?

I use a unlocked PSP 2000.
