Changing Rotation setting sort of breaks the controls in games (latest dev builds!)

Thank you for reporting this, very strange about the github ban! Never heard of that before.

The rotation mode was created for touchscreen Android, and I haven't really tested it with real controls, but you're right, it doesn't work quite as expected.

And you're right that this forum isn't very active, the reason being that it's completely overrun with spammers - you just don't see them because we have a heavy moderation block, making it hard for users to get started :/

I'll transfer this to a github issue soon, and will try to fix it up for 1.19.
