How to transfer Save from PC to PC

Hey guys, I just started playing with the emulator today and I have to switch between to places on a regular basis. As I understand it, my save file should show up in the SAVEDATA folder, but it is empty. I can normally load into the game without any issue, but I have no idea where to find the file I need. Any ideas where it could be, and does it work to simply copy the file into the SAVEDATA folder on my other PC?
