AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution texture scaling: is it possible?
Hello all. Is it possible to add an option for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 texture scaling?
I mean, is it even possible to use FSR1.0 to upscale textures instead of frames? If its possible, it would be a nice option to have, other than xBRZ, hybrid and bicubic. Also if possible, could you do incremental steps, like: 1.5x FSR1.0, then 1.5x again on top of the previous 1.5x? I know it sounds crazy, but maybe it would simply work, who knows. I've read the FSR1.0 documentation a bit, I'm not a programmer or anything, but it uses compute shaders and no AI whatsoever. EDIT: looks like FSR1.0 needs antialiased image inputs, so it would be better to upscale to xBRZ 2x first, then FSR. |
