MGSW doesn't have an 800mb DLC, so I'm guessing you're talking about install data - which is optional and game would work without it, I think there were some things missing if you did not install data, but those things can be unlocked by cwcheat patches, the only reason install data was a thing on real PSP is because UMD's speed and spin-up time not being the greatest, this is not a problem when running a game copy from any faster media, so with PSP emulation, install data is a waste of time and space.


I dunno if you mean the game says it's install data is corrupted, or PPSSPP says the game is corrupted, but in first case you can simply delete that install data from the memory stick, if it's the latter, your copy is corrupted for example it got corrupted when disconnecting from a PC if it was mounted as a drive there, or you have a faulty SD card etc. file corruption is pretty common with sd cards, especially with many of them are fake and much smaller than advertised where everything above specific size doesn't actually exists as real data.
