I've used SD425 devices with PPSSPP before and the best performance you'll get is with light to medium games. Games like 2.5d platformers like Megaman PoweredUP, RPGs like FF7 Crisis Core, and medium 3d platformers like Daxter. Fighting games like Soul Calibur and Tekken 5 will work well too.

For Medievel, you can try autoframeskip and turning on "Disable slower effects" and see if that helps.
