CheatsCW + Networking Multiplayer question

I had a question about using cheats for fps and multiplayer...
for eg: if I used the 30 fps cheat in mgs peace walker it doesnt let me connect to a game or start a game, however without the cheat i can play multiplayer just fine.

is it possible to run cheats and use networking lan connection for games at the same time or could this just be a specific compatibility issue?
