Actually it's an issue in the way the emulator translate the "language" that PSP GPU understand to what a modern GPU does. PSP GPU uses some old technics to draw graphics that current GPUs doesn't understand, work arround this to make use of modern technics is hard, and when it's done the performance is affected and bugs might appears.
