RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD - HD Textures
@WonkoTheSane depends, if you want to create new font that could be shipped with PPSSPP that would match original psp font dimensions, but if possible be prettier I would say talking to [Unknown] might be the best way to go as he started creating some software for that and might as well be the best source of information about PSP fonts and might actually be interested in solving another old PPSSPP issue.:]
You could also look for some ancient software called TTF2PGF which does what it's name says, but fonts converted using it might be buggy, also I think it's a CLI tool(command line interface) and might not be too user friendly. Custom font while could be prettier would still not be HD through or at least I don't think it could be. I'm not looking at MHp3rd HD right now so not sure how the situation looks, but if the game builds a texture from system font, just places different number of characters each time you could just take the most complete of them for replacement and try using address and clut hash or even only clut hash, using wildcards for the stuff that changes, unless everything changes heh, I also saw a game which builds a completely different texture for every text box change, cases like that might be hopeless when it comes to replacement:c. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |
