I have personally used a gamestop red samurai 2 and the 8bitdo nes30pro, but really most android compatible bluetooth controllers should work fine. PS3/4 controllers are very hit/miss (much more miss) with being compatible and usually require lots of hoops and special programs (along with root access) to work on most devices (that work at all).

So my advice is generic is king and if you find a generic bluetooth controller that is android compatible and has good sticks and buttons then let others know since they are worth their weight in gold in android emulation.
