Actually decision was made some time ago and official support for Symbian, Blackberry and Maemo ended due to those platforms having outdated compiler toolchains holding the project back.

You can use 1.3 and older versions for those platforms and are also free to fork the project and maintain those platforms on your own, but don't expect any official releases.
