Results:

The game plays very smoothly, through all game modes, with no slowdown, glitches or interruptions. Save/Load states tested and successful. Output over HDMI to a Samsung 42" LED has a bit of slowdown at 1080p but works wonderfully at 720x480 (this is a GPD XD-specific thing)

I have logged around 5-6 hours with this game over the course of two weeks. Initial testing was done on the PPSSPP Gold Google Play Store release prior to the current one.
