Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable

Okay, I set the Mode to Skip Buffer Effects and now it works perfectly fine. Got past the Tartarus scene and haven't had any crashing problems after that. Although now there are some text problems. The text is barely legible whenever pointing at something (doors and location names on the bottom of the screen) although dialogues and the like are unharmed. It's not a big problem, just mildy annoying. Any suggestions?
