If you use english patch which apparently have problems on real psp, then more than likely if you have "fast memory" activated(in system settings and it is on by default) then it will crash on ppsspp as well. Not to mention "multithreading" and speedhacks could break stuff just because that's what they do, so just turn off all of that.

As of now playing with english sub patch I passed whole colosseum, got all password prizes/events and lots of other stuff slowly progressing through the game without a single issue, but yeah I never use any unsafe options nor speedhacks.
