Just because you have a high end device to create more detailed games with, it doesn't mean developers will start creating games that don't work well on most modern devices. You could make the same argument against any IHV that is iterating to their newest hardware(Qualcomm, Mali, Imagine).
Plus as I mentioned, emulation performance will be better with an X1.
