it's hard to say it is playable

With 60 CPU clock and without frameskip there is a fullspeed, rarely slows, but transparent roads ruins all the joy.
It can be driven, but transparent roads transforms to blind points and sometimes you don't know where road is goes.

You can win the race though. If you remember after first race where road is goes into a blind points.

But surely this is because of PowerVR with OpenGL 2.0 instead of x86 code.
Because on pc all is very good and even smoother.
So you should test or risk.
