RE: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
It still works for me in the latest version. It will DEFINITELY NOT WORK in v0.9.6-2. Make absolutely sure you're not using that version, since it will hang exactly there, exactly like that.

If you saved state there, it will also hang, even in a future version. Saving state saves bugs (well, some of them, not all.)

RE: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
So I'm using ppsspp-v0.9.6-39-ga95930a-windows-amd64 to run Valkyrie Profile Lenneth and I've gotten past the usual stop point of the first chat with Odin and Freya, but I'm still experiencing issues with it. It freezes on a black screen just after Arngrim and Badrach talk. Anyone else having this issue? Or know how to fix it?

RE: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Can someone tell me if they added the ability to skip the bloody 1-hour long recruitment cutscenes for the portable ? I liked the gameplay parts, but unskippable cutscenes are preventing me from ever, EVER replaying that game. I mean, you cant even go and do other things, you had to keep pressing the bloody button to keep going.

RE: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
I keep getting a "PPSSPP has stopped working" message with this game, and yet it has been defined as "playable" by this forum.

i have a brand new computer specifically designed to be able to play games

my computer has the following specs:

-AMD Quad-Core A10-5750M accelerated processor and 12GB RAM
-1TB hard drive
-AMD Radeon HD 8650M + 8670M dual graphics
-Processor speed 2.5GHz
-Hard Drive speed 5400rpm
-Dedicated Video Memory Size 1024MB

i had PPSSPP version 0.9.7.2, and the only issues i was having was a bit of lag and some squares over the character dialogue boxes, so then i updated it just yesterday to the NEW version 0.9.8. However, with this version, i was getting the "PPSSPP has stopped working" message, so i tried to go back to my original version but for some reason it doesnt exist anymore, the site only had 0.9.7 NOT 0.9.7.2.

anyways, i tried the 0.9.7 version but i'm getting the same issues, the "PPSSPP has stopped working" messages.

can anyone help me out? Sad

EDIT - i also have Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 downloaded as well since it is required for versions 0.9.7 and above.

Oi mate, you gotta be grateful for Henrik even working on that emulator. Or else, there only would've been JPCSP bullshit till now.
Use save states next time.

My specs:
Phenom X3 8450 ~2.3GHz
PowerColor HD6850 1GB
4 gigs of DDR2-800 RAM
~400GB HDD
Windows 8.0 x64

RE: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Hello,
I have problems that appeared recently with this game
Firstly I have a white screen to the title screen. (I can still move the cursor to make selections but the screen remains blank.)

I have a black screen with videos but this one plays out.

I use PPSSPP (SDL) on Ubuntu 14.04 with v0.9.8 build-1088-ga31194a
By selecting "Simulate block transfer" cutscene are visible but with a lot of glitch.

I play from the beginning to chapter 3 without any problems.

RE: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Okay, should be fixed:
https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/pull/6259

I know the video has some initial artifacts. What other glitches are there outside that?

Wow. You sound incredibly ungrateful.

Why don't you fix it?

In the meantime, stop acting like a d*ck, and use Youtube to see the ending. It isn't like it matters: you can't save after Asgard Hill.

So, while I not playing the main game, I am playing the Seraphic Gate here is what I noticed:

I am coming from an actual PSP that still works. All my comparisons are generally too that.

PC version: some squares over the left side portraits when they come on the left side of the screen. Textures are a bit sharper than the actual PSP version which is a plus. Other than that, the PC version runs perfectly fine, and all speedups are clear.
>PC Specs: AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.0 GHz, 120 GB SSD Samsung 840 EVO (helps with loading times), and a Radeon 7870 2GB (this is what really helps game performance...)
Playing with a PS3 controller + MotionInJoy

Android version: My tablets are utter crap.
I have an HP Touchpad with an Adreno 220 running CM 10.1, and a Kindle Fire HD 2012 version (w/ camera) also running CM 10.1. The CPU on the TouchPad is OC'ed to 1.7 GHz but it actually never gets that high according to the read-outs from TricksterMod. GPU is @ 266.

-- HP Touchpad results: With the default settings, you only notice fluid play if you hold down the speed-up play button, so you need to apply the following.

Settings:
> Frameskipping: 2;
> Auto frameskip: On;
> Alternative speed: 25%;
> Lazy texture caching (speed up): On;
> Retain changed textures (speedup, memory hog): On;
> Low quality splines and bezier curves: On;

Game plays well, some stuttering, almost PSP quality and sounds don't crap shoot either.
Cheats work, too.

Unfortunately, the touchpad is too big for me to use comfortably, so the Kindle Fire was next.

The Kindle Fire has a stock underclocked 1.2 GHz processor. These are just some bad batches that TI thought were not up to par, but they can be safely OC'ed to 1.5 GHz. The GPU frequency is 384 MHz max as a PowerVR SGX540.

Playing this game on my Kindle was 10x better than the HP TouchPad.

On the default settings, audio and video are stuttering and this fact is worse on the Kindle b/c the Kindle uses two large actual speakers and you will feel it: I saw these for myself when I opened it up.

Settings:
> Lazy texture caching (speed up): On;
> Retain changed textures (speedup, memory hog): On;
> Low quality splines and bezier curves: On;

Then the game plays like butter...

Upon going into the menu, some sprites and textures turn into works of HP Lovecraft, but eventually go back to normal after a bit.

This may be independent of my settings, but some of the text is messed up.
