RE: Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
I guess I'm having the same issue as everyone else, and it seems to crash at the exact same spot. Just before the very first battle scenario, Etna says "Don't worry, I came prepared!", then PPSSPP has stopped working.

I don't have the time capacity to test every revision (that's a lot!), but I did test a few versions - 7.6 stable release is fine, does not crash. The recent revisions that include sound (with or without the recent atrac3+ dll) do all seem to crash there.

posting this probably doesn't contribute much though

RE: Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
How did it go farther than Etna's "Don't worry, I came prepared" line?

I'm still crashing there. Did you change the language of PPSSPP to Japanese? That didn't seem to fix it.

It's crashing while reading from the atrac buffer or something, strange...

I see, I just tested it. It does go farther when using Japanese voice actors, under the game's internal settings.

which seems to help confirm it's more of an audio-related issue

disabling audio completely didn't seem to change the issue at all regardless of which voice actors were used, though.
Oh, if only my programming skills were more refined, I'd be a little less useless here

I poked around a bit but couldn't figure out why. The memcpy() seemed to be within reasonable bounds, and I added a ton of safety bounds checks without any luck. Only commenting out the memcpy (which obviously disables sound/music/proper decoding) helped. But, I was pretty tired so I may have missed something.

Also debug was crashing in ffmpeg rather than ppsspp for some reason...

RE: Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
I can report that since the git build v.0.7.6-1351 those chrashes in story sequences are finally fixed. You can now play Disgaea without any issues. Thanks to the devs for fixing this problem, which was keeping the game from being completely playable. (before I had to use an older git build which had bgm sound but no voices)
