A way to run PSP games as PBP format?
I have monster hunter 3rd portable as a PBP file. Is there a way to run it on the app (Android) or a way to convert it to a format that would be playable?

Thank you!

Check the "Where can I get games for PPSSPP?" section of the faq here: http://www.ppsspp.org/faq.html

What you want to look at is the part about converting digital downloads to ISOs.

PPSSPP supports eboots.pbps (non-PS1 ones) already. Just run it.

Or if you'd rather have an ISO file for whatever reason, go with mr.chya's suggestion.

Oh, since it was mentioned in the faq that they have to be converted to work in ppsspp I didn't think it could run them. Henrik may want to update the faq to reflect that.

It's supported them since like 0.8.5 I think. Quite some time.

In MHP3rd's case, it may be more desirable to run it in an ISO format, since it makes using the translation patch possible.

If you had a PC you could try converting the PBP into an ISO using this. (If it has a DATA.PSAR with an 'NPUMDIMG' header.
