Powervr optimized build for android
Hi, if anyone wants to try it I compiled a build optimized for powervr gpus, you may see broken transparency in some games but works ok for most of them.
It's a lot faster on my Power Vr Sgx540, especially with unbuffered rendering (may be faster also on other gpus like adreno but haven't tested yet, I think fullhd devices will benefict the most).

It's the At3+ branch with lastest patch from Maxim (Henrik needs testers).
Let him know if something is wrong with the audio:

EDIT: here a new build with an option to enable/disable alpha test in the hack menu (I don't know why but this setting resets every time you close the app so you have to disable it every time you open the emu):

What were the changes you made to "optimize for PowerVR gpus"?

You do know that due to the GPL you must release source if you release builds?

Henrik: most likely it is just the alpha test changes as that was talked about a lot.

Yep I simply disabled it in the FragmentShaderGenerator.cpp, I consider it stock ppsspp since the change is insignificant so I didn't release source. Should I?

However I shared this mainly for the purpose of testing At3+ patch, now it's merged in the master branch. All personal builds I make have AT disabled since this let me play fullspeed most games.

It's strange since it works also on my adreno 205 device.

I uploaded a new build in the first post, this time with an option to enable/disable alpha test. I don't make a pull request since it seems it's a not wanted feature. Smile

look like it installed but i think maybe the speed only affect power vr phone only since i saw the speed has no much different in my phone if i enable or disable the option.

RE: Powervr optimized build for android
Right okay. Yeah that's barely worth shipping source for indeed, you should have just mentioned it.

Anyway that's all good, but as the speed impact is so big on PVR I'm considering adding an option for this and only showing it on PowerVR, and also displaying a warning so that people don't enable it and then complain about broken graphics...

@to anyone: I'm lazy, what lines should I remove, or where should I look? I want to build my own version, thanks!

RE: Powervr optimized build for android
Thanks for the build man, tried it and indeed the improvement is huge!.
My device was struggling to play on constant 30FPS [S4], using your build it now easily plays on constant 30FPS and better yet, temperature while playing PPSSPP has dropped as well!.
There are minor graphical glitches, which seems to not affect my game [P3P] that much.
Once again thanks man! Big Grin

RE: Powervr optimized build for android
This is now an option under "Hack Settings" in graphics, so you don't need special builds anymore Smile
