RE: v0.8.1-264 Touch buttons not working
The new control scheme has broken controls in all games, for all control methods. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work.

Problems with current build
v0.8.1-264-g8b27f4e 32 bit build lost almost all the direct input controls for joystick/joypad. I use a saitek rumble force controller and i can only get the analog stick to work correctly. Previous versions have been working fine until today so it has to be an error in the build or something with this build. I have tried resetting all the buttons etc in the control setup, and still nothing for the dpad or any of the other buttons seems to work.. YET... i can see the changes when i make them under controls like the GUI is recognizing the changes, but the emu doesn't implement them.

RE: Problems with current build
We have a thread for the control issues, but to answer you, there was a large(and broken at the moment) commit that will make the control scheming much more flexible from the looks of it. There's nothing you can do on your end to fix it. Until it's fixed, stick to a slightly older build.

Please merge.

a few problems
I compiled the git version around an hour ago on ubuntu 12.10

when trying to change keys it tells me the key is already in use for keys that I already changed, so I can't use any of the keys used by the default controls

touch buttons don't work

backspace to go to the menu doesn't work

I can't find where it saves the settings, in ~/.ppsspp there's only saves, I'd like to know where they are stored

there was a button to download the audio plugin the first time I launched the program (I don't even know if it works on linux), I didn't press it and now it isn't shown anymore

RE: a few problems
Another duplicate of http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=4563 , in regards to the input stuff

It's being worked on. Broken controls should be fixed in the morning. As far as the actual remapping goes, it's still a WIP.

I tried the new version posted this morning that was supposed to fix the windows keybind problem and yet the directx input still doesnt work. It works in the GUI ( you can see the keys mapped as you activate them and they all seem to read correctly) yet when you open a game none of the buttons do anything (except the one you map for the triangle.. it seems to be X like they are upside down or something) The left analog stick does seem to function but the D-pad and the rest of the buttons (besides the traingle) do nothing.

Hope they get this fixed soon

Btw.. kick ass emu guys.. never seen one run this well this quickly. Stuck my psp in the closet ( i collect systems etc) so it didnt get broken and play psp on my pc now. Keep up the great work!

I am using a windows vista 32 home premium and saitek rumble force dual analog controller. Usually get 60 fps on most of the "working" games i have. Running on AMD Live 64 Quad Core (9500) 3gig Ram with an Nvidia g210 (1gig) video card (systems about 5 years old now)

The pull request #2612 has been merged in GitHub, so we will get a new build which fix the problem soon Smile

Since the build we wait for is not here yet, I made a build by myself Wink

I think the buildbot is backed up again, since it's supposed to make new builds every 10 minutes and that merge was 4 hours ago as of now. Sigh, what horrible timing.
