RE: ps2 emulator on android
okay.. not the house... unless we found a way to compress the matter in a strange way.... (don't even talk about black hole...) and a way to uncompress it...

In the following years (and not decade), the technology will most likely grow very fast.. just think about the haswell cpu... 22nm and a very good integrated gpu (perfomance similaire to geforce 650m)

Just imagine what performance could be achieved by a mainstream skylake cpu o,o

RE: ps2 emulator on android
It's possible, at least theoretically. But it's more of an arse to do given how complex the PS2 architecture is.

Continuing my seemingly endless rant:

http://www.androidauthority.com/google-p...es-257986/
See how the mobileshit plague spreads like no tomorrow. If people could make PS2 emulator or such on Android there's indeed no more reason to afford any console/PC. A great cancer that should be prevented indeed.

phones are powerful enough now.....
have a 7 year old pc weaker than my phone, tablet, and ouya in every way performs worse than all of them and can run ps2 games with decent performance off the actual discs.(slower than back ups). I even have less ram and slower ram than my phone, tablet, and ouya in that pc.

Anyone saying mobile devices are not powerful enough clearly has not looked at them in years or is in denial because they do not want mobile devices to take over.

PC sales are decling, and tablets will prevail? I remember when the term PC ment any computer that was for personal use. But then because of marketing done by microsoft vs apple. Technically the sales of Windows OS are declining not personal computers since tablets are personal computers. If you want to argue with that than learn your basic history of personal computers, they where around long before windows.

RE: ps2 emulator on android
The new processors will come with more cores and less clock. If anyone develop a PS2 emuladot that use 4 cores, the phones could have a good performance. But to put multithread in an emulator, need a bit more stability.

they are not powerfull enough. The gpu isn't as fast as a laptop or desktop one.

I agree. Maybe with the new OpenGL 3.0 GPUs, the performance be better. But we will need of more Ghz while the emulator doesn't support multithread, more or less 2.5Ghz, to get the a good speed. The first phone come with more than 2Ghz is the LG G2, after that, will come many others phones with 2Ghz or more. Maybe the Galaxy S5 be more powerful.

RE: ps2 emulator on android
reading a 4.7gb and in some cases a 9.3 like gta san andreas(double layer) is weird.Octo cores might do it but its going to be slow as hell.Wen we .ll get 8g of ram and 1terabyte of space with 16 cores it will run full speed

Never. PS Vita is much more powerful than PS2. And the Vita as not fully explored, then don't know much about that. Maybe in 5 years or more.

well.. normally, the console need to be exploited before being able to do an emulator...
