Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Hi guys I'm experiencing some problems. Before patching, everything looks normal but after applying the patch, some texts and textures are missing. I used mongoose to create the ISO then used the patcher. I believe I got the method right so I don't know why this is happening.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
If you're using 0.9(it has the missing text issue..), update to 0.9.1, or get a newer development build. If things are still working weird after that, make sure you used the PS3 patch, NOT the PSP patch. They're not the same, and they aren't inter-compatible.

Also, I would say this game is a candidate for the Perfect section since as far as I know, it can be finished from beginning to end, with almost no errors, crashes, or graphical/audio issues, at least on Windows(the exception being it doesn't play FMVs, but that's hardly a loss; MH has almost zero story)..your opinions, guys?

Well dax, there is still that hot springs crash that appears randomly. I'm on 6 star missions now and its still been poping up. I still have no clue whats triggering it but it is an annoyance. Other then that yeah this games fine.

This did the trick. Thanks a lot!

Could you perhaps upload your save file, Arylle? It might be easier if I had a save file so I can see if I can reproduce the crash myself, since I can possibly figure out why it's crashing.

@kamotecue: No problem. Happy hunting.

I think this is it right here. The crash usually happens if you spend alot of time fiddling around in the village before heading to the spring. It catches me alot of the times I'm trying to figure out if I should risk building a new set or not (which generally takes like 10 or so minutes of indescisive thinking) I got into the habit of hard saving before going to the springs now...

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
It seems to be a JIT crash. I can't get a reliable stack trace out of it, unfortunately..

That doesn't mean it's not fixable, but it'd be pretty tricky, I'd think.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I got a problem, I have the right PSP version of Monster Hunter portable 3rd HD and It runs on my PC but not on my Android Phone. On my phone the Dolby/Capcom Logo appears and then the screen turns black but I can hear the Intro music. Then after a while the start screen appears but when I press start nothing happens. What can I do to make It run on both devices? Someone got the game to work on phones yet?

Its weird, sometimes the game works for me on Android with Dynarec (JIT) enabled but most of the times PPSSPP just crashes..

No problem. Don't forget to keep backups of your save too in case it gets corrupted..

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
It seems that something broke around build v0.9.1-452-g3bae3c8-windows-amd64.
No more text. Such a shame...

But than it came back with ppsspp-v0.9.1-467-g08d5190-windows-amd64
Hurrah!

We live in exciting times Smile

I'm sorry, but I can't constantly keep an eye on all the game compatibility threads I started.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I just want to report a bug. It doesn't really bother me coz it only happens sometimes but just thought it could help to report it.
Emu versions used :
stable 0.8.1 release windows 32 bit
0.9.1-273-gb6051b4 (downloaded the latest SVN to test if it was fixed) win 32 bit

Problem : Sometimes when I enter or exit the hotspring, the emu crashes. I couldn't take a screenie of the debug coz windows asks to close the app. This problem occurs on MonHun Freedom Unite too.
