Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Region: US
Version: v0.7.6 772 g2bf1beb (Windows)
Format: ISO
ID: ULUS10202

The game loads up and plays at full speed, although textures seem to disappear and re-appear a lot in certain locations. At the end of the opening mission, the game freezes with a black screen. I used a game save after this point to bypass the freeze and played the game through to the end with no further problems.

Here is the log: http://www.4shared.com/file/ZahlM_Qd/MPO...reeze.html

If anyone has a game save directly after the first mission, it would be great if you could post it. The earliest one I found online is several missions into the game and on easy, and I won't have access to my PSP to get one for a few weeks.

try to report here.

Sad Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Hey guys, new to this forum and this emulator, and I'm having issues running Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops in a satisfactory state.
I'm looking for tricks, tips or fixes that anyone may know on how to get this game working the right way.
So, the issues so far are:

-Sound: It only seems to play sound effects, but no music. Unsure whether or not there are also some sound effects missing

-Video: There's a few videos and cutscenes that play, but there's no opening cinematic after the konami and kojima productions logo. In the first few minutes of the game, the same thing seems to happen, and I can just press start to get past it. However, being a Metal Gear Solid game, I can only assume that a lot of the cutscenes are quite important.

Graphics: There seem to be a lot of clipping with objects, and many textures won't load unless I'm looking at them on the correct angle:

I apologize for posting so much, but being new to this emulator I'm finding it hard to know what settings are best for emulation, or, if there are any plugins, which ones to use.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
First: The game already has a thread here(don't post again in it, wait for this thread to be merged eventually): http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?...rtable+ops
Second: The only "plugin" the emulator has is the atrac3 decoder.

Third and more relevant: What version of the emulator are you using? What OS/platform/device?

Also, welcome to the forums. Smile

Oh, sorry about that. I did a search to see if there was a thread about it already, and I didn't get any results.

When it comes to the atrac3 decoder, I'm a bit stumped on how to actually use it. The thread for it has little to no instructions, and being new to this emulator I have no idea as to what I'm doing when it comes to this.

As for version:
Emulator Build: 0.7.5-14-g17a3b75
Game Region: US
OS: Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Yikes. 7.5 is ancient, mate. Grab the latest development version here: http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/ .

When you fire up a new dev build, it'll ask you if you want to download the atrac3 plugin or not. Easy as pie.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
The game is playable however rotating camera angles or moving a certain way causes game to black out (not freeze). You can still move around however no visuals only sound effects.
