1.Are you sure you are using codes that are for your version of the game(PAL)
2.Are you placing them in the cheats folder in a file named "ULES01045.ini"(not ULES01045.ini.txt)
3.Are the codes contains _C1 or _C0(1 means enable the cheat below,and 0 means disable the cheat below)

There is definitely something wrong(I'm searching for the reason now but for now it's most likely something else(no because if broken since ??? rev)

Ok I find the problem
Did you create the file or ppsspp create it?
When you save the file with the codes,did you choose other encoding(not ANSI)

This is the problem
If you save the file with encoding other than ANSI,when you start the game,ppsspp will not load the file.
The strange thing is that if you save the file with ANSI encoding,load the game,change the value of the code,change the encoding to Unicode and reload the cheats,ppsspp will make the change in the game.

Open the file and use File=>Save as=>choose from the Encoding below "ANSI"=>save and restart ppsspp(if it's running)

And yes,it is a bug but it's cause partially by you
Fix is also needed because you can't save codes with description that require Unicode

PS.I used v0.8.1-1173 for the tests

I tried the latest build five non cheat code not working
and also I recharge code does not work codes

and I tried the stuff that you said not the ANSI code Still not working

I don't see any other reason...the codes are working fine here(I have different version of the game)on v0.8.1-1173

1.Just to sure,you did save the file with ANSI encoding right
2.Try running ppsspp as administrator

I haven't been able to get any cheat codes to work with Star Ocean First Departure (US). Has anyone else had any luck?

Don't know then but it's definitely not a ppsspp bug since it's working here.
