Rainbow Save game location on Ubuntu?
Hi

First of all, this emulator is amazing!! well done for all the hard work.

I'm trying to find the save game location but i can't seem to do so on Ubuntu. I have installed via the Flatpak method on your website and can't find it anywhere, even the install directory is a mystery to me.

Can anyone help me as i want to import a save game.

Thanks again for this amazing emulator.

RE: Save game location on Ubuntu?
it feels like you are not Search_Engine/Google_user enough to become Ubuntu_user
https://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=26447
this is from "ppsspp folder linux" query

~/.config/ppsspp/
/home/yourname/.config/ppsspp/

for Assets:
/usr/share/ppsspp/assets/

be aware, staying at Ubuntu you will meet much more complex tasks in future

Actually, i have looked deeply on here and on google and everyone comes up with your solution however my install using Flatpak to install ppsspp as suggested on the ppsspp website seems to not store saves in this location. I have actually run a game and saved inside of it and used the save game folder name to search for it inside Ubuntu but still i can't find it.

It's really confusing. I'm using Ubuntu MATE 20.04 LTS

RE: Save game location on Ubuntu?
It's probably just a hidden folder, similary to Windows, Linux also hides a lot of it's paths from newbie users browsing stuff via GUI.

Unless flatpack intentionally changes something as this is just a third party build linked on official site, it's not suggested, it's just the only one maintained, but it's still just a third party build that could be changing whatever they want. Recommended method for linux would always be building yourself, since 3rd party builds might have changes they aren't open about like for example using system ffmpeg which by popular demand is maintained, but known to break stuff, they could be changing paths for PPSSPP folders as well.

RE: Save game location on Ubuntu?
searched, in case of Flatpak it should be
/home/yourname/.var/app/org.ppsspp.PPSSPP/
~/.var/app/org.ppsspp.PPSSPP/

for Assets:
/var/lib/flatpak/app/org.ppsspp.PPSSPP/current/active/files/ppsspp/assets/

Sadly not, no .var/ directory at all on my machine.

Think i will just give up. I've checked everywhere also looking for hidden files/folders and nothing.

Very confusing.

RE: Save game location on Ubuntu?
Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I would like to note that the solution from Dukatti worked for me.
