Dolphin For Android
It's on the android market now. When this gets to be a playable speed, all human productivity will cease. Tongue

It´s only a demo for people who want to donate money to them so they can develop dolphin for new android phones that are actually capable of runnign it. It was intended for people who want to see what their donating for before they transfer the money.

Still, pretty cool that it's in-development. Shame that it's 4.0 and up only. Although I guess any device from the gingerbread/honeycomb era couldn't possibly have enough power to ever run this.

RE: Dolphin For Android
Interpreter + CPU video rendering = No go even for a POC.
Highering the minimum requirement from OpenGL ES 2 to 3 is also a terrible idea imo, whatever the reason behind it, they can leave the support for 2.0 and support alongside 3.0, there's no issue with it, it won't affect anything.
I'm just glad and greatful that somebody works on it but if I were them, I wouldn't put out anything before I'd write an ARM JIT or an actual GPU backend, it's just way less than an actual POC.

The only GL ES 2.0 devices that can run it with the required GL extensions are Tegra 4 and SGX55x so I don't see the issue.
Every other GL ES 2.0 GPU will only be able to do software rendering because they are missing the right GL extension.

RE: Dolphin For Android
You all got black screen?
It´s only capable of running homebrews I suppose you know that?

Because I ran it on my Xperia S Android 4.2.2. PAC rom and got up to 17 FPS on the "Starfield" homebrew that is linked there.
