KH: BBS - Mirage Arena

Question KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
Is the multiplayer in Mirage Arena ever going to be fixed?

You cannot play VS. Mode or Arena Mode in Mirage Arena using two devices, both running PPSSPP. But, you need the host to play from JPCSP. I don't, necessarily, want to use JPCSP because it is tough to configure and there aren't may guides out there. It isn't as good as PPSSPP is, anyways. I don't understand why it hasn't been fixed already, especially since the problem has been around since PPSSPP 1.0. Can't the developers use JPCSP to find out the bug and fix it? After all, JPCSP IS their testing platform.

If anyone knows more about the ACTUAL bug, please explain to me.

RE: KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
JPCSP isn't anybody's testing platform. PPSSPP got some boost from it(and other projects) early on, but the projects evolved separately.

Adhoc doesn't have any dedicated/active developer in PPSSPP, so nothing really get's fixed especially in less popular titles which doesn't have dedicated fans that could fix their game problem themselves instead of asking when it will be fixed and why it doesn't work.;p

Sad RE: KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
Okay. So PPSSPP doesn't develop Ad-Hoc.

I'm guessing the bug won't be fixed until the game has more support. It's still strange that they rely on fans to fix bugs on their own program.

Sad

RE: KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
PPSSPP is free open source project, it doesn't really exist thanks to some team getting salary to do emulation, and games doesn't get fixed by moral support on a forum, no, it's made exactly by fans of the project, the idea behind it and direction it's going to, who work on what they want and when they want.

Which isn't even limited to programming, but if we concentrate on that part, most people will have rather specific interest and not be all around programming guru's, for example someone can be very interested in modern graphics api's, but not at all in networking. PPSSPP doesn't have many active people at all and as said, none which are interested in adhoc, meaning it needs some fans who willing to learn whatever's needed for fixing what's nobody else's has interest to even look at.

Lightbulb RE: KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
So you mean anyone could help with Ad-Hoc issues?

If so, I wouldn't mind attempting to fix the issue for KH: BBS if it's open-source. Is there any way I could sign up to help PPSSPP?

Idea

RE: KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
configure JPCSP is easy, but most people just don't know JPCSP at all.
Arena/VS, Racing/Board will working if you know how to using JPCSP.

RE: KH: BBS - Mirage Arena
Well, the problem is, people don't wanna rely on using another emulation when there is a much better one avaiable.
